What is your refund policy
Refunds on what you pledged in the Kickstarter campaign at this stage cost us about 10% of your pledge, so will be offered on a case by case basis but are not guaranteed. Refunds on any extras you have added during the Pledge Manager are freely avaliable until shipping/Taxes have been paid (sometime in October expected). After we have paid taxes and manufacturing costs for your pledge, refunds will not be given.

What is your returns/exchange policy
We will re-send products in any genuine cases of defect, damage, incorrect contents or failure of shipping to arrive. All shipments will be via recorded/evidenced courier delivery.

Why is tax/VAT not included in the price?
We can only set one price worldwide, and taxes vary between countries, so it is extremely unfair to set a single common price as customers in countries with low taxes will be effectively paying tax for those in high-tax countries. Charging tax separately is simply fairer and more transparent and will be done per backer at the end of the pledge manager process once we have your final shipping address and thus can apply the correct taxes as we are legally required to do.

Can I change my pledge after I've edited it?
Yes, you can change your pledge or choose a different reward tier at any time during the pledge manager. Anything you remove from your pledge will have its value credited to your account, visible on the right hand side, and you will then be able to re-add any other items to use up that credit.

Will Lorescape be coming to regular retail?
Yes! as soon as the Pledges are all shipped, because they will get priority, we will start selling in retail in all of the major pledge countries as soon as we can secure partners, a process we are already starting. We will be targeting presence in both small independent game shops, and national online retailers.

Why should I buy now and not wait for retail?
The pledges in this Kickstarter are at a discount to expected retail prices (up to ~30% depending on pledge level), and will reach you months before the first retail deliveries! Some of the accessories we are offering are also unique to this Kickstarter but above all, it is an expression of support to an indie developer for a product you will hopefully love! And we love you for it.

Why is my country not included in the shipping list?
This is our first campaign and we are laser focused on not letting the schedule slip, nor over-complicating delivery. Some countries are just a lot harder to ship to, and it would delay the whole process to arrange. In future campaigns we aim to broaden the range of countries we ship to.
So if you have pledged, but now the address you want to ship to is not included/allowed (this is only possible if it is in a different country to the address you used for the Kickstarter account you pledged with), please get in touch with us and we will see if anything can be done.

Where is our pledge manufactured?
Lorescape sets are manufactured in Poland, assembled from components that are also manufactured in Poland. ‘Some’ accessories may have to be sourced from elsewhere, but the core product: the tiles, is 100% of Polish manufacture.

Why will it take another 6 months to deliver after pledge manager?
Once we have gathered all the pledge information we need to manufacture everything from scratch, 2000 customised orders, and that just takes quite a lot of time!

Where do we ship from?
Everything is packaged in Poland, and shipped from there all around the world. In some countries, Like the USA/Canada, all the packages will be sent over in bulk and then couriered from within your country, but everything originates in Poland.

What updates will I get about my order?
We will send regular progress reports after the pledge manager has completed to let you know what stage we are at, and when shipping will commence. Once all packages have been shipped please allow a couple of weeks for them to arrive. If they do not arrive after that, contact us for information and we will investigate.

Are the tiles water/drink/food-proof
Yes! The graphics are printed on with a UV printing process that is extraordinarily durable. It is really quite difficult to damage, and is completely resistant to spills or immersion. You can leave the tiles submerged in water, or wash them with dish or handsoap with no ill effects.

Are the tiles UV stable?
Tiles left in the sun WILL fade, but not as severely as most other products. The UV-printing is, by nature, not destroyed by UV light easily, and the plastic is high quality ABS which is relatively UV stable, but not completely. So avoid storing in direct sunlight, but also occasional exposure is not problematic.

What are the recommended/safe ages for using Lorescape?
These tiles will be rated, and pass all safety tests in the EU/North America/AUS, for 14 years plus. The sets contain small parts and are not suitable for small children as they pose a choking hazard.

How long are the tiles expected to last?
We are aware that certain terrain products use cheap plastic that cracks or falls apart after a decade or so of use. We use high quality ABS and its lifetime is ‘long’. We say long, because I have components made of this exact plastic made 20 years ago from my previous company, and they are essentially unchanged. So Lorescape tiles might have a longer lifetime than you!

How strong are the little connectors?
They look weak, but are surprisingly strong. You ‘can’ snap them off if you really try, but so far in 2 years of beta testing we have never broken one accidentally during gameplay or building.

How do I make/print designs for the hex-clip interface?
On our website: Lorescape.gg, we will host a page where you can view/download a diagram of the interface, and also download a library of compatible free accessories that we will provide. We might also accept submissions from the community for adding to this library, which will be done via email or on our discord.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
